I Love You Too Flash!

I love you too Flash! I mean Flixel, Flex and everything else that helped me port I Love You 2 to Flash! Yes, you hear it right! I’ve made a flash game!

Thanks to brilliant Flixel framework written by Adam Saltsman (I hope I spelled the surname right) and Construct’s layout editor I managed to port the game to flash.

It took me two days to re-learn AS3 (as if I previously had experience with it, but it’s not like something completely new you have to learn weeks before you can use it), learn Flixel (using the modest adjective called awesome) and code the game. I also added MochiAds. (not that I expect anything from them)

Now, it’s up and running on several flash portals.


Chart Wars 2010 !?

Good news, good news! Chart Wars fans should be happy!

Well, maybe not, because CW:TR 2009 will most likely be abandoned. But don’t be disappointed!

Just recently, Klaus from Osiris Games Community asked me about doing a community project.  Bothered by inactivity of the man behind first two Chart Wars games (Rob Cooper) he asked me if I’d like to join my efforts with anyone willing to make a contribution over on OG Forums citing himself as someone who’d help with research part of the game.  Given that Bass of Mass was a non-profit effort and given the fact that I was burnt out from working on the game all by myself I decided to start an open community project over on OG Forums.  We just started designing basic conceptual framework for the project and suggesting some design details but if we keep it steady we’ll eventually get some good results.

GameJolt: Ad Revenue Sharing

You’ve probably noticed that most of my game download links link to a game repository called GameJolt. Well, that’s right – from now on, you can find most if not all of my games over there. My gamejolt page is: http://gamejolt.com/profile/miroslav-malesevic/190/

Apart of two advantages this website gives me (hosting and java quickplay) there is another one potential advantage that may be of significant interest to other game developers. Below is a copy-paste of a GameJolt article:

The ad revenue sharing beta has now started. Developers are currently being picked. If you’re not registered on the site, be sure you sign up so that you have a chance to be a part of the beta.

How does it work?

The system is currently in closed beta, meaning that we’re choosing specific developers to test the system out before it goes public. It’s not too late to be a part of the beta, though. Just sign up on the site at any time, and you’ll automatically be placed into the hat we draw names from for the beta program. We’ll only pick your name if you have a game on the site (for obvious reasons), so be sure to add a game or you won’t be considered.
50% for sign ups during beta period

If you sign up during the beta period you’ll get 50% of the ad revenue from your games… for life! This is for any developers that sign up, even if we don’t pick your name for the closed beta, so be sure to sign up now. Note that this is effective for any current and future games added to the site.
How will I get my money?

We currently process all payments through PayPal. You may withdraw your money at any time (minimum withdrawal of $0.05). No waiting for a whole month before your money is sent. Statistics are updated every 24 hours.
Will I become rich?

While you shouldn’t expect ad revenue to be too high during the beta period, you can expect more as the site matures. The more people that use Game Jolt, the more money we’ll be able to haggle from ad networks. So, the more people you bring to the site, the more money you’ll potentially be making from ads!

I Love You 2: New Game!

After exactly three months without single release, I finally managed to finish something. Although not finished the way I wanted it to be I’m happy with the final result.
